After seven years, billions upon billions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of Afghani and Iraqi lives, thousands of American lives, the current brink of collapse of stability in Pakistan, and the polarisation of much of the world, a report has come up with an answer to the questions that so many in the US were asking on September 12th, 2001. "Why do they hate us so much?" No one ever stopped to listen to the answer. Apparently it was just a rhetorical question. We (and as Brits we are as culpable) just went to war.
But finally a report comes up with the answer. They don't like our policy towards them, and they would like to talk to us about it.

We won't listen so they have to shout louder. An actions speak louder than words.
If someone mentoring Sarah Palin in international issues could pass that on to her that would save us all a lot of heartache.
